What I’m About

In times that feel increasingly uncertain, my aim is to support those who work tirelessly to protect the most vulnerable. Through a relationship-centered approach, I work with individuals and teams to improve their effectiveness and overall sustainability.

My goal is to center the humanity of providers, communities, systems leaders and funders by creating opportunities for deeper connection, shared learning, and authentic expression.

A heart-centered approach not only creates a strong foundation on which to build quality programming and services, but it also opens new pathways for healing and joy to enter- not just for our clients and stakeholders, but also for ourselves.

My Vision

My Approach

My engagement with clients focuses on strengths, assets, and the inherent expertise they hold. I see my role not as expert, but rather as the shepherd of a process that will result in creative and innovative solutions that are uniquely suited to you.

My ultimate vision is for teams and leaders to have clarity and purpose in their work and for organizations to have the tools and understanding needed to advance their missions.

Most importantly, social justice advances cannot be achieved unless we attend to the care and well-being of the team, both collectively and individually.

My Clients

My ideal clients are those who value relationship, connectedness and deep examination. They are working toward a more just and equitable world and need tangible help to reach their goals.

My clients need help with strategy, implementation, training and coaching. They may need support in developing funding strategies and/or grant making.

My clients may also need support in connecting with, serving and/or understanding the people they serve and each other.

What’s in a name ?

Why Halona Consulting?

The name Halona is meaningful to me in many ways. It’s derived from my middle name and carries with it the Native American meaning of “happy fortune” or “a place of happiness.” For me, this reflects the spirit I aim to bring to my work— positivity, optimism, and a heart-forward purpose. I believe this kind of energy fosters safety, growth, honest reflection, and transformation.

Halona also serves as a thread that ties together all of my creative pursuits, from photography and pottery to consulting and coaching. It represents both the personal and professional journey I’ve been on and the energy I want to share with those I work alongside.

With Halona Consulting, I’m committed to offering a grounded, thoughtful approach to personal and organizational transformation. Whether you’re navigating leadership challenges, embracing creative growth, or seeking reflection, Halona is about finding clarity and connection—rooted in joy, purpose, and a deep sense of possibility.
